i dressed up as a one-winged angel for last week's halloween party... lol!
11:17 PM
oooh... it's getting colder and colder recently... i've been thinking of turning my heater on... but it's too early for that... i think.
check this out:
that's ctv national news, a local news program back home in canada.
i'm in japan and yet i can still be up-to-date with what's going on back home... thanks to the web and my macbook pro! i recently bought this dvi to vga adapter so i can use my tv as a second display... so i can watch movies i've downloaded online and watch it on my tv... it's so cool! i know it's been around for a while but hey, i've been using outdated macs for a while and i really can't do this kind of stuff in my old macs...
this is an amazing screensaver!
i've recently purchased marine aquarium from serenescreen.com. it's so beautiful! i've always had a fish tank in my room but about a month ago, i gave mine away to a co-worker, in preparation of my going back home to canada for good next year... maybe... (but right now with the "recession" that's going on back home, the idea of going home next year is once again up in the air... the yen is so strong right now!). this screensaver is awesome! it's probably the best screensaver i've ever used. the fish, the water, the sound, all so vivid and realistic! it reminds me so much of my beloved fishies who are now, hopefully, swimming around happily in their newly found japanese home... hehe. and again, thanks to my video adapter, i can also have a bigger "fish tank" using my tv!
oh and as predicted, i did buy a new sleeve for my macbook pro from amazon.jp. it's called the be.ez larobe color! i bought the neon green one.
... and i love it! it's cheaper than the other trendy macbook pro sleeves (4000 yen in total) and yet the design and the colour are not too bad. it's made of quite a unique material, that absorbs pressure, takes it shape, and go back to its original shape, kind of deal. it's sufficient enough protection if you are just going to take your macbook pro around for a walk and light travel... i wouldn't recommend it to put it in your backpack along with heavier stuff though, or putting it into a over-stuffed bag since your macbook pro will be squished and that may potentially damage it. that's a job for the crumpler school hymn sleeve i bought a month ago which offers more protection. the crumpler one is just a bit bulky to carry around though and i just want a slimmer sleeve that would keep the sleek of my new macbook pro. i noticed though that the quality of the larobe in the inside looks cheap but it's no big deal. i love the colour!
wow that's a lot of posting and photos on one blogging!
