i finally finished the site revamp... i really like the low-tech-iness of this new design ^_^

i still need a new domain though so i can blog more often... i've been lazy updating my blog with all the lengthy process i have to go through just to update this site... argh.... (please let me know if you know a good one, or if you can recommend me one ^_^)

things i did today: 1)went to school; 2) met a friend for coffee and some catching up; 3) went to a lecture on the legendary and controversial origin of one noh play (a traditional japanese play) given by a guest lecturer from the states... i was notified in the last minute.. i mean literally a minute just before the lecture started, in the elevator! i guess they need more audience? but i really enjoyed it.. it was very educational and inspirational... as a matter of fact, i want to start doing my own research too; then 4) went to a social gathering done by one of the student groups at university... all the professors i had in my east asian studies courses were there too... i met somebody really interesting there.... ^_^ (love? shaaaah....)

i found out something really terrible today... the subway newspaper vendor's wife passed away in his native town... he's the most friendly vendor you'll ever meet. he never misses saying "hi" with a smile to me everytime i pass by... i noticed his stall was closed for 3 weeks... so i asked him today and he gave me the sad news... i couldn't say anything but say "sorry" and "take care', and left.... it was really heart-breaking.....
