September 25, 2003 was a very special day. I will never forget that day. Wherever you are, I will never forget you. You still have a special place in my heart. I miss you so much. I am still very much in love with you and because of that, I still can't move on. 2003年9月25日は忘られない日だ。ボクはまだ君が好きだから、新しい恋人を探せない・・・君は遺憾なことだ。君を待ってるよ・・・

So I'm back in Japan. I left Toronto last week Sunday and arrived at Osaka on Monday night. I was a bit upset that night because my luggage was lost while in transit and so I went back to my apartment, about 3 hours away by bullet train and regular train, without it. The next day, I got a call back and thank God, they found my suitcase. The lady on the phone promised they would have my suitcase delivered the next morning Wednesday and so I took a day off that day to receive it... but no, no suitcase came that day. I received it the next day Thursday instead while I was at work. I wrote on a note in Japanese and posted it at my door asking the courier to call me at work and that I would go home immediately. I finally got my suitcase that day... I should be thankful because it could be worse... I didn't have insurance on my luggage so...
Moving on... I terminated my mobile service with AU and switched to Vodafone. I found out that I can continue using the same Vodafone phone in Canada via GSM once I go home back to Canada. I got a cool phone. It's a Vodafone 804SH by Sharp. It has many cool features and I just love the design. The coverage and reception with Vodafone is not as good as AU though and I lost my Navi feature which was already built in with my old AU phone, a Toshiba A5509T. Punching keys in my old AU phone was so easy too since the keys were bigger and were all portruding. But oh well... My priority right now is to be able to use the same phone when I go home to Canada, perhaps next year. So, this is my third phone since I came from Japan (I broke my very first phone, also a Toshiba A5509T, when I dashed to the sea in Tottori.. I didn't realize I had my phone in my pocket at that time... I was so drunk at that time! See what alcohol does to you :-P).

So Wrong...
Something is so wrong and disturbing about this image I saw on the MSN Mainichi site today. It just makes me angry. This is like revisiting and honouring Hitler and his Nazist war generals. Now I can fully sympathize with the Chinese and South Korean governments over this very controversial issue...

I went downtown Toronto today and I took this photo from the bus I was riding.
I went to the Andy Warhol exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario today with friends. To be honest, I am not really a big fan of contemporary art. I guess I can say I appreciate the older conservative arts more. I can say Andy Warhol is a talented artist but my appreciation for his arts was just so-so. I realized a bunch of the stuff being exhibited at the museum were disturbing and gruesome - taking photos of a lady lying like a vegetable on top of a disfigured car roof after jumping off the Empire State Building, dead and mangled bodies of people in car accidents, and then blowing them up, adding his artistic touch... I didn't really appreciate these forms of art.
We then went to a Chinese restaurant close to the museum and then headed back to my friends' place and watched Brokeback Mountain. I'm so glad I watched this movie because it was such an amazing film. I realized this movie is not just about gay cowboys but it's more focused on the idea of love having no boundaries. I was really moved by the film. Ang Lee is just an amazing film director.

It's been nice to be back home again but the very hot humid weather seems to be following me everywhere I go... I thought I was going to escape the very hot humid weather when I left Japan but no, for two days, Toronto has been experiencing record high temperatures... in fact, yesterday's temperature was a record high in Toronto's history - 34 degrees Celsius and with the humidity factored in, 46 degrees Celsius!!!
I've been reading this book by Dan Brown, "Digital Fortress"... It's not bad at all. I really liked his "Da Vinci Code" and so I bought this other book of his.
