I had a very stressful day at work today. My boss does not trust me. I noticed this from day 1. She has her favourites in the office. So with that already on her mindset pretty much everything I do is no good for her. All of my suggestions just go nowhere. Every time I would make a suggestion, I get stopped before I even finish what I was going to say.

Oops... I Did it Again

So from 4:30PM yesterday until 12:30PM today, I was smoke free. Eight hours! That’s been the longest I had been smoke-free. During lunch I was feeling all kinds of discomfort, anxiety, restlessness, problems with focusing, etc. You name it. I was getting all the side effects of quitting smoking.

New Uncle Again

I’m a new uncle… again. My sister gave birth to her 4th child - a very healthy baby boy - this morning. The first 3 are all girls… each of them now was born in each season. This little fellow is now the summer child. I thought that was very cool. The baby’s name is a bit ‘unconventional’ so my parents are already having a hard time saying it. LOL.

I Should've Bought A Gravel Bike Instead

Yeah… I should’ve bought a gravel bike instead… but it costs more… but then I’ve already spent almost $1,500 for the new urban bike, fenders, racks, and all other kinds of crap. I should’ve spent $1K more and I would’ve gotten a bike I really wanted. My eyes were actually on a Marin Four Corners at first, then changed my mind to a Norco Search XR Flatbar… both are gravel bikes… but then after ordering the Norco Search I decided to cancel the order and go for the Norco Indie 2, thinking that maybe the gravel bike is an overkill for me since my main purpose for the bike was to get around town while carrying some load (groceries, stuff I pick up on errands, etc.) and since I live in an urban area, an urban bike would’ve been perfect. I realized it was the wrong bike for me when I did my last long bike trip to Brantford and then to Kitchener-Waterloo. There was a lot of climbing to do for that trip. The bike I’ve got now is really heavy with my tent, sleeping bag, 2 panniers on a rear rack… yet I still made that trip.
